This Ship-Hotel is great in all aspects, from the delicious food and drinks, to the kindness of all the staff, specially the hotel manager, the barmen and the shore excursions guides! The cabins are as good as the big cruise ships, with all comfort. You feel like home, although you are in the jungle! more
Just got back from the 4 night trip on the Rio Negro, and I can't say enough good things about this cruise. To really see the amazon you need to either stay at a jungle lodge away from the city, or take expensive day trips with trip operators. The Iberostar was the best of both worlds! we stayed at an ecolodge on the Rio Negro and opted for the Iberostar cruise on the Solimoes. It is the largest cruiser on the Amazon and we prefer a larger vessel to minimize any motion sickness.
