The complex Pestana Pousadas is inserted into a resort complex with five other traditional large block type hotels, each with a distinct operation. It is possible to walk between each block, but as the complex has a free shuttle bus between the hotels then use this.

As this is a destination resort, it is located adjacent to the beach, and within the complex there are such facilities as horse riding, golf, spa complex and a medical centre. Also every day there were activities on the beach for guest participation and evening shows in one or other of the hotel blocks. This combined with an excellent beach location and landscaped gardens, made this place an excellent resort. We overheard some people with complaints that there were few opportunities for things to do in the resort. And so should you need to escape the confines of the resort naturally there are paid excursions available to neighbouring sites, ranging from 10kms -150kms.
