This pousada is heaven. It dates back to the 1700s and has been beautifully preserved. The staff are extremely friendly and willing to help. We stayed for 5 nights and were upgraded for free. The room with the balcony is a wonderful oasis from some of the sketchiness of Salvador. more

a vast high-ceilinged room,in a tastefully decorated colonial house, great breakfasts-you'll have to stay more than one day to taste it all- and a foyer rich with books and cd's ,where you can befriend other guests (a rainy day's must). Beautifully rennovated pousada with the friendliest staff. nothing too much trouble. peaceful retreat from the pulsing pelourinho- but still only a short stroll to the action. Recommend suite No 9 which has the most beautiful roof terrace. more

We booked a room with terrasse with a wonderful view. The rooms upstairs are quiet and large, and the terrasse is terrific. The staff manager speaks english.
