Indeed one of the best hotels of my life. Everything excellent: position (could not be better, if you want to stay in the old city centre; the best location for sure), service (careful, a lot of attentions), kindness (always smiling, helpul in any possible way), competence (included the agency they use for tours), great breakfast (do not me misguided by... more

We've just been there for 4 nights and we would recommend this place as it has a central, secure and ideal location. Service is eccellent, they have connection with a travel agent, Leonardo who organize everything you may need, from samba concert to excursions, to city guide. The breakfast is also very good and the restaurant in general too. more

We stayed here for 3 nights by default because our other booked hotel cancelled our reservation; we were very pleased that we stayed here instead. The staff, the food, and the location were the very best. The breakfasts are excellent. We had several meals in the their restaurant and they were some of the best we had in Brazil. When... more

"Recently I had an opportunity to take a break and head to Salvador in Brazil. I had a fantastic experience on my stay at Villa Bahia. Not hidden, just in the heart of Pelourinho a must see touristic place; there is sited the Hotel Villa Bahia. A traditional house that was turned into a cosy and charming hotel. The location was... more

I have stayed in Hotel Villa Bahia for 5 nights and I want to say that's was an excellent choice. First the location. Villa Bahia is situated in the heart of Pelourinho district of Salvador city. It's so close to all the tourist attractions, restaurants, cultural events, max 10 min walking. Second: the rooms (I have a chance to see... more

We stayed at Villa Bahia three nights and were absolutely overwhelmed by this great little hotel. The location could not be better. Right in the very center of Salvador's pedestrian district. You can go outside and start walking to wonderful Salvador with no cars to fear. The hotel is very nicely decorated and has a great cuisine. The rooms are... more

Effectively, the hotel is very well located in the historical Center, in the square with all the facilities (not accessible directly by the vehicles, but they can stop in a distance of 25m) like bank, exchange offices, travel agencies, post office, etc., besides all that our first neighbor is the tourist police office, an extra for the security. Thank you...

We were looking for a interesting place to stay in a central location. Villia Bahia was much more than hoped for. The hotel was unique and absolutely spotless. The rooms were very nice and each a bit different. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple (an omlette, fruit, etc) but tasty. We also had a fantastic dinner... more

Yes, we have a very good location, I would not risk to say that it is exceptional, in the middle of all the activities and attractions of this colonial district. Your preoccupation about the beggars and the dangerous streets is comprehensible. What makes the Pelourinho a charming place is the authenticity: everything here is exposed, the beauties, the ugly, the...

We stayed two nights in the high-celiing & spotless "Goa room," which is moreso a suite. We overlooked a pedestrian-only square in the old center & heard the various churchbells & street-music. The doorman and three different desk managers were very pleasant & open to us with good advice. We would stay here again although there is not much else... more

On the plus side, the staff are friendly, the breakfasts excellent, rooms well done and it's next to the tourist police station which is a reassuring presence in this honeypot for professional hasslers. On the minus side, there's no bar, the pool is tiny, and it seems way overpriced. Friends stayed at the Hotel Casa do Amarelindo, and that's the... more

The comments from our friend from London are right about the restaurants of the area. About our swimming pool, I could say that the interest of who comes to the historical center is another, and to have a SP in a protected area is sure a privilege. The size of ours is of 4,8 x 3,0 x 1,50 meters, it...
