This is a beautiful pousada, right in the heart of the old city of Salvador. It was clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet given the location. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was standard fare, and nice enough. Would recommend it to others. more
This B&B is located in the historic centre of Salvador, but slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Pelourinho. My room looked over the sea, admittedly with the port in the way. We had a nice room overlooking the bay and harbour incl. a romantic sundown from the nice balcony. Vila Carmo is ocated in walking distance from all attractions in Pelourinho. Especially the Bahia breakfast is great. Room is a little run-down and sanitary facilities are a bit smelly. Enjoyed it anyhow. more

We ended up staying here after Studio Do Carmo unexpectedly cancelled our reservation due to renovations and recommened this place instead.
