I have to say I disagree with previous comment. I have stayed at the royal savassi a few times now, and it has always been clean, quiet and very pleasant to stay in. The breakfast is pretty decent as is lunch (normally gets very busy).

Location is in a relatively quiet safe neighbourhood, near some decent bars, clubs and restaurants, but a little way from downtown and the airports. Have to say it is my hotel of choice in Belo Horizonte.

Staff are always happy to help out and most (but certainly not all) speak English. The one downside I would say is that there internet connection is bad, whether plugged in or wireless as a habit of dropping out regularly.

It seems at the back they are building something new - not sure how high it would go, or if noise would impact rooms on the lower floors, but i guess it is wise to ask for a higher up room. more
