I went to Curitiba for a family wedding, and my parents had asked my uncle, who lives in Rio, to book a hotel. We had 2 rooms for a total of about $150 U.S. per day. This price included a very extensive breakfast buffet, which included outstanding servers.
The location and facilities were wonderful, as were the service and food. I can't say enough about the service. Everyone we encountered were tremendously courteous and genuinely interested in making our stay as pleasant as possible, and they went about it in an understated, wonderfully professional and effective way. It was a fabulous introduction to Curitiba from the moment we arrived!
The only tiny drawback to the hotel was the strange absence of washcloths. However we did not request them during our stay. My mother did request a hairdryer, and someone appeared almost instantaneously at our door to deliver it.
