Stayed here for 4 nights on a business trip. Staff was very frendly and many staff speak great english. Hotel rooms were very small but nicely appointed. Bathroom was very clean. Hotel is fine and great value for money. Room and bathroom absolutely fine, breakfast was really good (Brazillian style) but the hotel location and view from the roof top bar and pool is SENSATIONAL!! The beachfront Porto Bay Hotel, which has recently changed hands, clearly shows the benefit of renewed enthusiasm for excelelence and is the best compromise I have found for value I have in Rio de Janeiro. The crew's hospitality seconds only the prime location and view, whereas the clean and impecable decoration make you feel right at home. more
