My husband and I stayed at Caesar Park Ipanema from 5-Jan to 8-Jan (3 nights) and it was wonderful. The location is really ideal, the front desk and concierge were extremely helpful with recommending restaurants, calling taxis, confirming reservations we had made for tours, really everything you could think of. Just got back from 7 days at this hotel. Very modern decor in the lobby, less so in the remainder of the hotel. The rooms definitely need upgrading/remodeling, but they are certainly more spacious than rooms in Europe. Staff is very professional and friendly and there is lots of hotel security. The hotel was nice - a wonderful location near the beach - but somewhat of a drive to get downtown in a cab. The rooms were not extravagant, but comfortable. Internet access was reasonable priced.
