Nice modern central hotel for the area around Botafogo, if your looking for the beaches try its sister hotel In Ipanema which is also very good. Arrived early just after 6am following the flight from Paris and they offered me breakfast while they sorted out a room from an early departure guest. Staff was excellent and couldn't be more helpful.... more

Great hotel in a good area if you need to come to Rio on business. I stayed in a junior suite, which had a great view. Breakfast is included in the package with expedia (maybe other sites too). I found the price to be a lot cheaper on expedia then with the hotel directly. you can get away with not... more

If you go to Rio de Janeiro for work and doesn’t have any time for going to the beach, then is fine, but please never stay in this hotel for your first time in Rio or vacation. Stay in the hightes floor viewing the Christ, otherwise will be depressing. more

Rio de Janeiro is a very nice city and an important business destination in Brazil. Unfortunately, this hotel will not be appreciated by leisure or working travellers. No attraction/bar/restaurant at walking distance. No city map available at the front desk (concierge? forget about). Two PCs at the 'business center', one out-of-order during my stay. Taxi service at the lobby, but... more

Second visit in 5 weeks to this hotel. Restaurant has poor breakfast service. Exercise facility has broken treadmill. Got a Suite for about $124 USD. Staff is okay with English language. Area of city is somewhat strange. Go 2 blocks away to a churrascaria (our particular one was named "Estrela do Sul" - great food - Brazilian buffet). more
