My friend and I stayed at the Atlantis Copacabana for 9 night at the end of March / start of April. I had booked a sea view room which was on the 10th floor, room 1008. The room was a good size, clean, en-suite with shower. Other room facilities included a fridge in which non and alcholic beveages were kept... more

We were pretty happy with the hotel. Hotels in Rio (Copa and Ipanema area) are surprisingly expensive, and this one offered the best value in comparison with the rest. Far from a luxury hotel, the rooms are a bit dated, but had everything we needed... so no complaints! Funny, when we checked in, we were given a room ending in... more

The Atlantis Copacabana is located right in between Copacabana and Ipanema beach areas. While not right on the beach, it is in a quaint neighborhood in an ideal location. We found the rooms to be well maintained and the staff in general, to be helpful (the guys at the door were excellent). Don't expect five star luxurious resort style rooms,... more

Well you get what you pay for, the rooms are pretty dodgy, but the staff were wonderful. Pros: Clean bathrooms, well lit Good Staff Rooftop swimming pool Cons: Noisey pipes due to no insulation in ceilings Noisey Air conditioner Very ordinary breakfast Basic rooms. Like i said you get what you pay for, the view from the level 11 top... more

This hotel is in a great quiet neighborhood, close to all the action. We were able to easily walk everywhere. I appreciated having this rooftop with the pool to cool off. We paid 112 per night, we were given a room on the 11th floor with a partial ocean view. The hotel staff were very accomodating, and I was always... more

i have never stayed at a hotel that was as unprofessional as this one. while the price was reasonable with a good location, the customer service was the worst i have experienced in the hospitality industry. the people at the front desk were unwilling to help with questions, and when they did help, the effort was limited. while using the... more

We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of Feb and found the hotel to be a good choice. The Atlantis is nothing spectacular but then it does not claim to be and it does all the basics satisfactorily at a good price and in an excellent location. It would be very unfair to expect 5 star quality at... more

We read reviews on TripAdvisor and also a guide book and were sorely disspointed. It seems from reading reviews it is very much about particular rooms. We got a fairly big room but it had two single beds even though we had asked for a double. No problem - they came and pushed the beds together! The air con didn't... more

We paid almost $100 per night. We were assigned to room number 405. It was the most awful room i have ever seen in my life. Very small, the bed was impossible for 2, with view to a wall, the a/c very close to the bed and very noisy. We inmediatly asked them to be changed. They changed us only... more

Atlantis Copacabana is a very nice hotel. My room was $80.00 per night and I was there for 9 days. What I loved most about the hotel, was the location. Beautiful block, easy walking distance to Ipanema and Copacabana. On a previous trip, I stayed at the Martinique Copa. Beautiful hotel, great breakfast, okay location. What I did not like... more
