I have travelled around the world and never been at such a dirty, crappy hotel and rooms who haven´t been renovated for at least 50 years and only portugese speaken staff who are really rude. more

We stayed here as it was the cheapest option we could find around carnival time. Have stayed in better hostels - bathroom had plain concrete floor, horrible but working shower and toilet. Room v small and beds v basic, but as we weren't planning to spend much time there (just out at carnival etc) it wasn't too bad. However, buffet... more

very expensive, very dirty, it was impossible to stay there..dont ever go..they are plenty of hotels with the same price that are wonderful in Rio..nobody stays there more than one day, they ask for non-refundable payments. more
