We went to Brazil for the first time for a wedding and overall it was a good experience. The hotel is not the best I have stayed in but it's certainly worth considering if you are going to stay in Ipanema/bordering Leblon area, as it is safe. Very nice hotel, good location. One of the very few (not to say the only one) with a balcony overlooking this wonderfull beach. Ipanema is more quiet than Copacabana but you can walk along the beach very easily. The breakfast are great and the rooms quite spacious. A good spot for a romantic trip! more

Very apprehensive about staying at this hotel due to previous reviews. We were pleasantly surprised by the level of service from reception and the bar staff. Reception especially spoke excellent English much to our relief. Any minor problems were quickly sorted out without a fuss.
