I stayed at the Rio Roiss from June 27 until July 4, 2009. It is an older hotel but it served it's purpose with me. The beach is a block away. The subway is about 3 blocks away. The banks that would take international card at their atm's were also about 3 blocks away. Stores and restaurants were right around... more
perfectly satisfactory three star hotel, nothing fancy but no complaints either. convenient location one block from copacabana (if i lent out the window i had a side on view of the beach) at the ipanema end. not too noisy, pretty good breakfast more
We stayed at the Rio Roiss Hotel for 3 nights and we had US$1,200 stolen from the safe! They give you the lock and the key to the safe. Unfortunately we were too naive to believe that the money would have actually been stolen (we had a total of US$2,000 in the safe and they were clever enough to leave... more
This hotel has nice rooms and great breakfast. Very powerful shower! However the desk staff were appalling and the organisation was terrible. Bookings were wrong and incredibly difficult to resolve. Try Copacabana Augustos instead. more
We stayed four nights at the Rio Roiss. It was a good value. Comfortable beds, clean, nice buffet breakfast. One block off Copacabana Beach and good spot for walking and visiting the night market. No view except from top floor breakfast room. more
