This clearly is the best Hostel to stay at on Friday-Saturday Night. It is right in the center of the weekly street parties. Which means you have a toilet when you need one (hard to come by in Rio)

It also is the only hostel in Rio de Janeiro with a built in Irish Pub (Hostel guests get in the Irish Pub for Free which was a bonus) more

I stayed at Samba Villa for 2 weeks in February this year. Its just opened, everything is clean and new, the hot water is actually hot, and the staff were helpful no matter how many questions I asked. Its in a cool part of Rio, (Lapa) that isn´t crowded with other tourists, and has amazing street parties every weekend. I think it must be one of the cheapest places to stay as well. Good if you´re on a budget. The rooms all had airconditioning as well, which didn´t cost extra. Stay at Samba VIlla!!
