This pousada exceeded our expectations.The location was in historic Santa Teresa a 20 minute walk down hill to the Metro. Our room was spacious and clean.The breakfast was delecious.Most importantly the staff were extremely helpful.We felt very comfortable walking everywhere and with so many restaraunts just down the road.Would highly recommend this pousada.

This hotel is either a very good backpackers hotel, or a very very poor boutique hotel, depending on what you expect for the price. This was our second stay in Rio, we previously stayed in Mama Ruisa just down the road in Sta Teresa and found that this was much better value for money, quiter and more relaxed with children.
