Good location. Although located at the edge of a sea of high-rises, the west frontage of hotel has a nice unobstructed view of Hercilio Luz bridge.
The hotel advertises that they are undergoing renovation and this is a good thing.
Despite the hotel being nearly empty, and despite us asking for a better room, we were given an apartment on the 2nd floor overlooking some, ahem, very poor dwellings (I'll stop short of calling them slums) and no view of the sea. Not trying to sound snobbish here, it's just that you don't go to Floripa and book an apartment in a high-rise hotel so that you wind up with a 2nd-floor view of other high-rises' second floors and people's washing, being woken at dawn by barking dogs, etc.
The room was very dated, many fixtures were broken or scuffed up. The bed was very uncomfortable, one of those mattresses where you wind up rolling to the centre. The shower, although it had...
