We stayed only for one night in August 2007. We arrived at the hotel around 8 pm, and could tell this was not a safe area to be walking around at night. The check-in took longer than expected, although the staff was friendly and courteous. I speak spanish fluently, and understand some portuguese which helped since the person did not... more

Good location and breakfast. Hotel faces main sqare and Municipal Theater and Aqueduct. At this time part of the lobby is being demolished.At our arrival front desk clerk showed up in jeans and somewhat dirty shirt. Well this hotel definitely deserves a review because I had a great stay there. It is a clean, well-located hotel in the downtown area of Sao Paulo. This hotel seemed like a stately but affordable hotel from the website. Unfortunately when we arrived, we heard that it was a very nice hotel about 20 years ago.
