If you're looking for a clean and descent place to stay without all the bells and whistles and on a budget, this is the best option in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. There are four Formule 1 Hotels in SP and one in Rio, and they are all exactly the same to each other. We've stayed in the Centro and Jardins in SP and the one in Rio. All rooms can accommodate up to 3 people for the same price utilizing bunk beds. A queen bed on bottom and a twin on top.

The room is small but has the basics. There is no mini-fridge or telephone though. And the only weird thing to be aware about is that the shower is basically in the same room as the bedroom. The only thing separating your naked body from other people in your room is a frosted glass door. (See pics). But that can be mostly resolved by hanging your towel over the door to cover it.
