We spent an incredible 3 weeks travelling through Argentina & Brazil staying in Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls, Ihla Bella, Picinguaba & Rio. Upon arrival at Picinguaba you travel down some secluded roads with incredible views that finally lead you into a small fishing village & a dead end. It's at this point that you wonder what have I booked but... More

Me and my wife stood there for three days last June. The best of the hotel are the pictures from the web page, as it might seem a big and nice hotel but it is not more than a tiny hostel with few rooms. The swimming pool was filled with some warms that itched when crawling to you, so it... More

It's been a few years that I go to Picinguaba every year for vacations or just for the weekend. As a Brazilian I feel so ashamed for the guests of this hotel. I don't know how are the rooms because I went there just for a drink. The social area, pool, are very nice and pleasant but the prices are... More

My wife and I stayed two nights at this beautiful hotel with fantastic views over the Picinguaba bay. Beautiful pool, good service, excellent breakfast. At night they include a dinner with live musci that is really remarcable. Excellent option for someone visiting Paraty. More

We stayed at Pousada Picinguaba from December 11th to December 18th 2011 in the 2 best accomodations of the hotel. The Honeymoon suite, so small that you can't call it suite, no fridge, no phone, no air condition (green philosophy, you will see belo that the philosophy is for guests only), nice view from the room but over the lobby... I stayed at Pousada Picinguaba with my family earlier this year and it was the most perfect way to end our Brazilian journey:) First I have to say that this is not a hotel or a village for people who can't see the joy in having a totally relaxing experience or for people who don't like too get to know... We ended up here on our honeymoon and I have to say that it appealed to me as a place to get away from it all. I felt a little isolated at times though and there were few options for food in the town. The price tag is high but the food in the Pousada is excellent. More

How much did we love staying here - a simple, quiet, relaxing and utterly charming place with great food and lovely views over the bay towards the rainforest clad mountains. It's definitely NOT the place if you want all the trappings of a hotel - but if you want a place to get away from it all, switch off your... More

We drove in from Rio. It was a very long ride. We were instructed to contact the front desk when we got close to the hotel. Someone would be meeting us on the beach. It all sounded unusual, but we were up for the adventure. When we got to the beach, a gentleman from the hotel met us with a... More

We came to Picinguaba for the middle part of our 2 week honeymoon and stayed for 6 nights before going to Ilha Grande, but i wish we had just stayed for the whole holiday! It is a beautiful tucked away seaside village (we werent sure if our taxi driver was taking us to the right place when we driving down... More
