If you're planning a short vacation in Bulgaria, for enjoying sun, beach and also for visiting some places, Bisser hotel in Balchik could be a good option. If you have a car, you can easily go to the beach in Albena, Kranevo, Rusalka or Golden Sands. You can also visit Queen's Mary of Romania Castle and Gardens which is very close or The Ruins of Old Fortress of Kaliakra near Kavarna.
The hotel offers great conditions for only 2 stars. You have TV and refrigerator in a room with private bathroom which is also clean. Also, the hotel has a nice pool and a beautiful garden. Staff are very friendly but, except receptionists, they are not English speakers. Trying to speak German or Romanian language works sometimes.
I don't recommend the hotel for people searching for 'all inclusive' vacation, but it looks like a good option for those spending most of the time elsewhere close to Balchik. Beaches in Balchik aren't great, but it has many great places with great food and drinks at... more
