I stayed heer for 10 days in july 2007. Please don;t expect what you see in the picture. :) Cleanliness is definately one of the strong points of this hotel. There was a maid coming in daily, but overall, the sheets were gray and the funiture old. The food for breakfast used to finish and it would take a while until they would get more coming. just to add soemthing, the hotel has its own parking inside its courtyard but somehow one night a car was stolen from right in front of the reception (I am not saying this happens on a daily basis but just be prepared for anything).
However this hotel is very conveniently located next to the beach in fron of the castel (which is actually less crowded than the other beach in the centro of Balchik), there is also a supermarket and many many restaurants very close to the hotel with good food and tipical music (even live)
you must take a walk on the streets of the old town, with its small houses in the hills. We discovered a nice old pastry... more
