Stayed one night. Lovely room and charming hotel, matched by the friendly, charming staff. We got lost going into town so came back to the hotel and the proprietor helped by driving us there. The view from the hotel was very picturesque. Breakfast was nice and included local savoury strudle. Will be going back there one day. Good value too. More

Travel Advisor was correct about this place. Velinko Tarnovo has to be Bulgaria's #1 toursit destination and this is the best place to stay. The Hotel Gurko was very good. The staff were quite pleasant and the food was great. The only drawback was the stray cats who hang around the restaurant area. They are very annoying. The guests are the cause of the problem - the people beside me at breakfast were feeding table scraps to two cats and it was really gross!... More
