That's how my husband and I felt during our two day stay. We were fortunate to be the only guests prior to a very busy weekend. On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Ruth and she showed us to our room and gave us a tour of part of her property. We stayed in the Namaste room which was beautiful... More

Follow the directions taking nothing for granted! Ruth had given directions we were to turn between the two churches. One is a blue building and the other yellow, both with some piece offering a resemblance of a cross. The "road" is basically one lane dirt and had it not been for the description of the "bridge" we were to cross... More

Trip advisor works......if you disregard the whingers and whiners who pick up on trivia, (who are in fact absent in reviews of Mapuyampuy), you will find excellent places to stay and to eat! Mapuyampuy is no exception.....really good, not a place you would EVER bump into by accident, but easy enough to find if you follow the directions given..... Ruth... More

We had a wonderful weekend at Mapuyampay. Ruth & Vincente are great hosts. We enjoyed a fun Saturday morning cooking class with Ruth and two other couples. It was a real treat to prepare several different dishes for lunch, and then get to enjoy them with your classmates over great Chilean wines. The setting is very picturesque and unique. The... More

We found Mapuyampay through TripAdvisor, so it's fun to re-read all of the previous reviews again following our amazing three-night stay just this week. Passionate is the only word to describe Ruth and Vicente-- a passion for food, wine, travel, the land, Chile, and life. Our excitement started once we pulled up in our car (greeted by the two most... Ruth and Vicente run an amazing establishment in between San Fernando and Curico. My friend and I stayed for 2 days and we wish we had more time! The breakfasts were really amazing (one day we had homemade blueberry muffins and the next french toast with homemade jam!) and the dinner was one of the best we had in Chile... More

My chef husband and I just returned from a 2-week "wine-foodie" trip to Chile, and had four glorious, relaxed, romatic nights at Mapuyampay with Ruth & Vicente. The Chilean wine-pairing cooking class dinner that started our stay was a highlight, and the dishes were so delicious that my husband is adding several of them to the menu at our historic... More

Where to begin when describing the wonderful experience my friend and I had at Ruth and Vincente's 'home'! I have travelled extensively all over the world, stayed in a wide variety of accommodation (from hostels to 5 star hotels) and eaten at some of the best restaurants the world's capitals could offer and I would have to say our 3... Where to start about this fabulous property... Ruth and Vincente are your friends the moment you arrive. They take you in, feed you, help you plan activities, and make you feel at home. Ruth could (and probably has) cook at the highest-end, 5-star establishment in New York, London or Hong Kong. The fact that she is living her dream in... More

Paradise for all the senses! Sight: There were so many beautiful touches in every corner my eye didn't know where to rest. Memorabilia from Ruth's worldwide travels, gardens to gush over, food that almost too pretty to eat, a spot-on perfect swimming pool. Even the skies were the perfect color blue. Sound: Pet geese and ducks quacking quietly around the... More
