Maybe this hotel is nice. The service is OK, the rooms big enough, and the excursions good. Nothing outstanding compared to other hotels i have been though. The hotel its located next to the Quitor ruins which is nice for the first day. But the main drawback is that the hotel is too far from town. Is a 10 minutes... more

We stayed at the Alto Atacama for four nights in October, which is early springtime in Chile. The hotel was not crowded with probably a third of the rooms occupied. San Pedro is about three miles away and the road leading to the hotel has little traffic, so the setting is extremely quiet, peaceful, and serene. This serenity is echoed... more

San Pedro Atacama is a surrealistically beautiful place. Crowned with bare red rock mountains it is the only village in the dessert and it's thriving well thanks to the constant stream of travellers. The sky is clearest and brightest blue you can experience anywhere due to being the driest place on earth. A thick layer of dust covers everything making... more

We stayed three nights and four days in San Pedro Atacama at the Alto Atacama resort. It was an all inclusive deal starting from the airport at Atacama. The room accomodations were modern and attractive. The food was outstanding, tours were conducted by expert guides and we met people from throughout S. America and Europe. more

Chose this hotel for a week of luxury and it really delivered. The setting is spectacular, everything is brand new and the staff are amazing. They offer great excursions to all the attractions in the Atacama desert with knowledgeable guides and some lovely food and drink served up at great viewpoints during the excursions. Back at the hotel there are... more

I have to confess we were only there one and a half days, and did not eat at the hotel or use the spa, or go on any of the excursions. But it was pretty clear to me that this is a really top class hotel. The rooms are very nice, the staff very helpful and the breakfast great (so... more

We have just returned from 4 wonderful days at Alto Atacama. The hotel is designed to be very comfortable, relaxing and to fit into the environment. Our room was comfortable and the patio a great place to sit and enjoy the views. Everyone was extremely friendly and always helpful. The excursions were really excellent and the guides were very knowledgeable... more

With days to book a hotel in Chile, I was desperate to find something amazing an reasonably priced. I was referred to this hotel by another that was fully booked - the best stroke of luck! The hotel was brand new and we were amongst the first to stay there. The service was flawless, the rooms were perfect and the... more

My husband and I went to Alto Atacama for Carnival holidays. We stayed there for 4 amazing days. We booked the full board with excursions. The staff is great and very kind, we didn`t have to worry about anything. Real holidays! The room is very cozy and comfortable, the shower is terrific! Don`t miss the spa and the swimming pools,... more

The Alto Atacama was beautiful and we could not have enjoyed our stay anymore. Every day we had the option to do different activities and we did our fair share of biking and hiking in beautiful scenery with very knowledgeable guides. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more interested to see how our stay was. Lunch was always wonderful,... more
