The best thing that can be said about this hotel is that it's location is good, easy walking distance from the centre. The worst is that it's very basic and not good value for money. the Hosteria is a regular hotel, with all the ordinary comforts of a chain hotel, including a swimming pool, but it's certainly not one of the hotel you will remember for life. This place is OK but definitely not worth recommending. I dont think there are many outstanding places in San Pedro but I am sure there are others better than here. For example Hotel Kimal (?) looked much more funky but was full. This hotel at least works...ie. hot shower and clean rooms. However there was a TV with remote.....and only... more

I loved our room - beautiful covered in Adobe with a lovely patio with views of the local volcano. The swimming pool area was lovely. Breakfast was good but the evening meals average. more

This is a basic sort of place, which is part of its charm, and it has a fabulous location with easy access to the centre of San Pedro and some wonderful little eateries. The rooms were clean and fairly comfortable. The swimming pool was absolutely freezing! more

I liked this hotel, rooms were ok, a bit basic, but when you are in San Pedro, basic things seem luxurious. Recommended if you don't like roughing it. lovely outside areas to sit and have a beer. Go down into San Pedro to eat, we had a fab meal at Adobe restaurant. more
