I've changed to the Tulor after spending one cold night in another hostel where I've been freezing despite of the heating. They offered me a room for 100$ a night (winter price?), which was not too bad for what they offer. San Pedro is quite overpriced anyway. The hotel was quiet and yet close to the centerand it has a... more

I was not sure if I should give it one or two stars in the end I went with two - poor. Besides arguments with the reception about check out times and check in times the rooms are not up to the USD 200.00 per night price we paid for them. If we had paid USD 70.00 we would have... more

On arrival full payment was demanded in advance. When we requested a receipt for this, we were told to wait until ten o'clock that evening (some hours later). Our room was 190 US dollars per night, but had no running water on arrival. This was corrected later in the evening. Having driven from San Antonio de los Cobres in Argentina,... more

We stayed 3 nights at this sweet hotel and loved it. The room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was modern with good amenities. There was not tv or telephone in the room which was a nice change as it kept it in sync with the quiet desert atmosphere of this oasis town. The reception staff were very friendly... more

If you want to be 'in town' which is esential to get the feel of San Pedro then the hotel Tulor is the best place to stay. Rooms are average unless you have the suite as we did which is great. Easily the best pool and patio area of the hotel towns. Altiplanica and Explora are way too far out... more

The rooms themselves were lovely except for the shower which didn't really work. The front of house staff were pretty average too - considering this is meant to be very upmarket. more

The location of the hotel is good, close to the main street but not close to noise. Room was average standard. One good thing was that the room didn't get hot as I hear what happens at hotel Altiplanico. The pool is very small. Breakfast mediocre, not a great experience. The hotel has closed its restaurant for lunch and dinner,... more

Stayed 4 nights at Hotel Tulor. Was a good stay in the end - room is very pleasant and the pool was good. Location excellent, a short walk into town and away from the noise. Let down a bit by the service - language barriers always going to be a problem - but our room wasn't ready when we arrived... more

I've been there with my sister in 2004. It's a small hotel but it's clean (really clean - I was just out of a strong allergic reaction and if it was not, I would have easily noticed), the room is comfortable, the staff is friendly, the breakfest is good... nothing to complaint about it. There is a swimming pool that... more
