Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was in town for work and ended up staying 4 nights. The price was reasonable and I was able to walk to a lot of places. The staff was excellent and the location could not have been better. The channels could have been better but I know they were in the process of upgrading. The internet speed was excellent.

A friend and I just needed a place to sleep for a couple nights while we were in town for a concert. We are both under the age of 21 (both 20), but my mother had contacted the manager in advance asking if it was okay if we could stay there and if she would need to fill out any paperwork. He told her no and that the hotel would accommodate us just fine. We arrive at the hotel. It absolutely looks like those hotels in the movies where you see people doing hard drugs. We enter and tell the person checking us in our name and he immediately gets defensive and starts telling us that we cannot stay there. I told him about the emails that were discussed. He "pulls" them up on his side and says that there was no reply to my mother's email. (Little did he know that my mother had texted me a picture of the emails where, in fact, the hotel replied). He started to yell the same things to us and treated us as if we were children. I called my mother and told her about the situation, and she wanted to speak with him. The man refused for several minutes, but when I brought up speaking to his manager he all of a sudden was willing to talk to my mother. I reminded him that it was simply a discussion and not an argument, but he proceeded to yell and had the audacity to tell my mother about how I was being "stupid" and "couldn't understand". He called his manager, and the manager wanted to speak with me. The manager was much more calm, and I was pleased with his behavior until he said to me, "Don't cause me any trouble." Why in the world would I cause trouble? I explained that we only needed a bed to sleep in after our event so we can be rested for the drive back home. He had nothing to worry about. The man checking us in proceeded to keep being defensive, and he refused to accept my payment. I luckily had another way of paying, but it was very rude that he was denying my payment for no reason. Finally, we get our key card and go to our room. The rooms are DISGUSTING. We asked for a non-smoking room, but when we walked in it automatically smelt like weed and cigarettes. There were bugs running around, none of the lights worked, toilet barely worked, and the hairdryer had muliple hairs attached to it (oh, and it didn't work either). The door's lock was broken. We did not feel safe at all because the walls were so thin; you could hear EVERYTHING outside. That is not an exaggeration. We did not even sleep under the sheets becasue we were terrified that they had not been cleaned in months (example A being the hairdryer). Worst hotel experience ever. Worst staff. They have breakfast but honestly do not trust it. Even though it's cheap, spend the little extra to have a nicer and safer place to stay. This place needs either a renovation and new management or to be shut down all together.

HORRIBLE PLACE! First off, when I arrived, the front desk clerk was nice and helpful in finding my room. After finding my room and settling in, the room looked and smelled dampy! I got a room with double beds...not bad for $50, so i thought. Upon inspecting the room, I found the smoke detector hung from the wall from its wires, the toilets cover had a crack in it, the toilet paper plastic roll that holds the toilet paper roll was missing so I had 2 used toilet paper rolls on the toilet to use, ironing board looked stained, and all i was given was a little bar of soap to wash my hands. No shampoo, nothing! After unpacking a bit (i stayed for 1 night), I went to plug in my laptop. Facing the beds, the bed on the right which i planned to sleep on that night, had no outlets behind it. I then looked behind the bed on the left side. Found an outlet and plugged it in. Then, for some odd reason, I had an idea to check underneath the mattress on the bed i was going to sleep on. So i lifted the mattress from the top left corner near the side desk and found a used needle! I checked underneath the whole mattress and found nothing else. I left the needle there and switched beds. I then checked the bed on the left side and found nothing. I then ate dinner and took benedryl to knock me out since I had to be up by 4 am. Heres where it gets weird: The way the rooms are setup is if the drapes are open, you can see inside the room through the big window and clearly see if its used or not. But i think any normal person would close the upon entering the room as i did. Anyways, Im on my laptop around 9 pm, trying to relax and let the benedryl kick in to knock me out when all of a sudden i hear a "knock" noise from above me as if someone from the room above me dropped something on the floor. I brush it off and continue interneting. A few minutes later, i hear 2-3 distinctive knocks again, same sound but 2-3 different times. No noises were before them nor afterwards. After a couple of minutes, I call it a night and turn off the lights. As I'm trying to fall asleep, I keep hearing that "knock" sound, but this time it sounds like its coming from the wall behind me (i slept on my right side with my back to the other bed and bathroom). It catches my attention but i brush it off thinking its maybe guests from another room or upstairs. I eventually start to fall asleep after hearing 2 or 3 more knocks and as soon as i start to drift off, BAM! I get woken up to a loud, clear knock sound that sounded 2-3 feet in front of my face as if something were in the room with me and it knocked the wall near my face. I get freak out and remain still. I try to figure out if that came from inside my room or next door; maybe a guest got the room while i was asleep...idk. I try to fall back asleep but the knocking sound again comes from behind or above me. Eventually, the knocking sound stops and i fll asleep as the last knock I heard sounded distant (like 2-3 rooms away from me) yet loud enough for me to hear. My alarm goes off at 4 and i get up and get ready for my road trip back home. I pack up my car, and as I'm heading back to my car with the last item, I look into the window of the room next to me where I hear the loud knock that woke me up and see that the curtains are open and the room unused. I get a little nervous, but move on. As I'm going to my car, I realize I can go upstairs and see if the room directly above was occupied or not....I almost do it but decide not to in the end. Idk if I experienced a haunting or not, but all I know is I didnt feel safe or welcomed in that room/hotel.

Worst stay I've ever had. Needed a hotel quick so I went to expedia and found this one, booked it for $70 (after tax) would have much rather slept in my car! I went out and bought Lysol and sprayed every surface from floor to ceiling. The man at the front desk was very rude, got into our room and there was no smoke detector, no wash cloths, the towels were hard and practically see-thru, no shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion.... it was awful! Mold and mildew growing on the walls and ceiling. The exterior was just as bad as the inside. Totally run down. Save your dollars and stay in your car if this is your only option. Going for a penicillin shot now.

Car broke down in their lot, otherwise we would have gone elsewhere. Staff was very nice, but our room was terrible. Broken bed springs, dirt in all the corners, mold and mildew in the unclean bathroom. Terrible repair jobs on several damaged wall areas. Smoke detector removed from centralized system, and battery was dead and on and on.

There was a wasp nest right outside the door of our room, the pool isn't opened just covered up, there wasn't a fridge or microwave in the room so they got one from another room, the iron in the room leaked water all over your clothes if you put water in it, your have to pay $15 for a late check out, they didn't have enough towels and rags when I needed more, and they didn't have enough items for the continental breakfast.

I am a nurse at one of the downtown hospitals. The area was expecting ice overnight and I live an hour away so I decided to get a room for the night instead of sleeping on the hospital floor-at least I would get a bed and a hot shower! The first room I was given, the safety latch was busted off the wall. I immediately called the front desk and the very helpful clerk moved me to a new room. The second room I was given seemed ok but it smelled musty and old. When I went to take a shower, there was no hot water! It didn't even turn on in the bathtub. I ended up having to wash up in the sink (it had hot water). Then I pulled back the sheets and there was a dirty brown "skid mark" across the bed. I ended up sleeping on top info the covers with towels and my jacket as blankets. I told the front desk guy in the morning and the log he wrote it down on, someone had reported the same 3 days earlier!!! I had been planning to stay two nights but cancelled my 2nd night. He said he refunded all my money but it's been over a month and none has been refunded!
