I stayed at this delightful hotel for four nights, having booked my accommodation as a time share exchange. I was very pleasantly surprised with the place. It's a small hotel, with well equipped (including free in-room wireless internet access), comfortable and clean rooms, and an exceptionally helpful staff. Be warned, though, that the staff speaks no English, the breakfast menu consists entirely of Chinese fare and is itself in Chinese, and none of the 60 channels on the in-room television service are in English. And bring your own soap and shampoo; the hotel doesn't supply it.
The Old Town of Li Jiang, where this hotel is located, is a quaint place, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site, in part because "Its architecture is noteworthy for the blending of elements from several cultures that have come together over many centuries."
