as most of the reviews for this hotel say, the place itself is actually ok. I have not checked out the spa etc downstairs as it has the charm of fritzls dungeon. We found booking accom in Bol on relatively late notice very difficult and decided to take Ivan on even with the above reviews in mind. It does have a pool, A/C, large rooms, nice location, nice property etc and therefore proabably qualifies as 4 star I guess or at least boutique. But in reality it is a 3 - 3.5... more

The owner of this Hotel is a Crook! Double check your credit card statement if you stayed in this hotel because, they will charge you a deposit and not subtract it from the bill at check out. Hotel Ivan gave itself 4* on its website, but was more like 1.5*, on a good day! The hotel has plenty of potential as it is on a lovely property, but it is clear that the owner is not interested in investing in the property nor the comfort of his guests (staff confirmed this toward the end of our stay).... more
