I'll begin by saying that Cavtat itself is a jewel. A charming little town full of amicable locals, 'superyachts' and countless feral cats situated next to the clearest, bluest sea you'll ever see. First off: be aware that there are 3 Iberostar hotels in Cavtat. This one is a modest ordinary looking place in a charming location on the sea and just a couple of minutes from the centre of Cavtat. One of our best holidays. The hotel was recommended to us and lived up to its expectations. Small, friendly, clean , very central, lovely food. The location was wonderful, nice and central and the scenery was second to none. Dubrovnik was a 45 minute ferry trip away and well worth a couple of trips. We enjoyed the sunsets, easilly seen from the Poseidon restaurant (as previously mentioned) or from the benches especially sited on the headland.
