Newly opened in June 2009. The Lesic-Dimitri Palace is a renovated Bishop's Palace in the heart of the old town of Korcula. As we were told when we stayed there, the old Palace, consisting of 6 attached buildings, was renovated and the interiors upgraded over the period of 5 years, in total accord with historic preservation laws. lovely apartments - each decorated in a theme reminiscent of Marco Polo's travels. Venice, Ceylon, China, India, Arabia and Korcula. The apartments range from one to 4 bedrooms. Each is wonderfully appointed with modern conveniences - including complete kitchen and great baths, and entertainment systems (even iPod compatible sound systems). The Hotel is managed by Tony - an accredited Opera singer and a staff of people who have grew up in Korcula, lived elsewhere in Europe, and have returned to the island.
