My mother, my mother's friend, my daughter, and I stayed in two rooms at Villa Belvedere for two nights during March 2009. The location was about 4 km from Trogir, and although there was a gorgeous view from the rooms, the sea was difficult to reach. There is an empty lot in front of the Villa Belvedere, but no way to cross it. The sea is across the empty lot, across a busy road, and on down the hill.
The rooms were a disappointment. One was painted lavender, with the walls badly in need of touchups. Although a floor heater was provided for use in the bathroom, there was no outlet in the bathroom. The "new" carpet was stained badly. The other room was slightly larger, but with absolutely threadbare carpet. A definite food smell (very garlicly) permeated the rooms.
We met the father who was very personable. He did carry our luggage up the flight of stairs to reach the ground floor, and then up the additional flight to reach the apartment. He...
