We came to Otavalo for the famous Saturday market and spent 3 nights at Hostal Chasqui in total and could not more highly recommend the hostel and its owner, Roberto. Upon our arrival, Roberto showed us the entire place, informed us about the free use of the laundry machine and spent 20 minutes recommending the best sights in the area... more

i booked this hostel on a whim. my friend and i weren't planning to make a trip to otavalo but went at the last minute. We had a great stay at this place. It's located about a 10 minute walk from the plaza de ponchos (the main market) and is on a small hill in a safe area. Quiet, nice... more

Great location for Otavalo markets. We had a double room with private bathroom. Very clean. Consistently hot water. Tv in room. Owner very friendly and helpful with tips on what to see in Otavalo and provided maps. Hostel has great deck where you can enjoy a beer with the sunset. Kitchen available for use but wedidn{t use it. more
