The hotel is right across from the train station (to the Devil's Nose) and along the main strip in Riobamba with many shops, restaurants and bars. Rooms are inexpensive and although the facilities are pretty basic, the essentials are there - TV (a few channels are in English), phone in room, shower with hot and cold water and good water pressure, toilet with seat, wash basin. Cleanliness overall is acceptable. Hotel has a large atrium and clean hallways. Walk up - no elevators. Free Internet access (slow modem) from PC in lobby. Noise can be an issue - voices in the lobby and hallways carry up and down the atrium and local drivers have a tendency to honk at every opportunity - ask for a room away from the street if you are a light sleeper. Bottled water and coke can be purchased from the front desk. Hotel staff is friendly. more
