First trip to the Pacific side of Guatemala but third trip to Guatemala. Loved the property and location. We could walk into town for any restaurants or change of pace. Ignore the poverty of Guatemala and get thee to this Pacific treasure, about 2 hours south of Guatemala City. There are only 14 rooms, each was its own bungalow, complete with porch and hammock. Frosty bar beverages and great seafood in the restaurant, especially the ceviches. The night noises in the thatched roof creeped out my wife. more

The good- beautful location on the Pacific- the pool a delight, plenty of sunbeds, nice gardens and local staff all very helpful and friendly. The average_ the food- boring menu if you are there for more than 3/4 nights. Breakfast expensive for limited choice. Rooms dark (40 watt bulb equivalent) and rustic describes the bathrooms- no hot water throughout stay.... more
