The Ideal Beach resort is a few km away from Mahabalipuram, which can be a problem unless you have a car. We had a cottage, which was OK, but a bit boring... Ideal Beach Resort was really ideal. We arrived around midnight and everybody was very helpfull, and even made us chicken sandwiches even though Roomservice/food delivery was closed.
