Don't go there if you expect a beach resort. It's a small hotel with a pool. Beach is nearby, but dirty and really a working beach with fishermen boats all around. Dirty as well. Mosquitoes all over the room and provided a coil. We bought a goodnight machine, to make it work. Restaurant is just a shack Massage place is... more

This hotel is in a great position right on the beach in the town centre and very close to the shore temple. We stayed 3 nights and paid a reduced rate of RS2400 for a largish. clean room with window aircon, including breakfast. Good pool area with some shade and sunbeds but the pool was a bit too smelly for... more

Great stay! Professional staff, clean room and good facilities including clean swimming pool. Direct access to sea with shore temple in sight. Also restaurant not bad. Our experience was great compared with the other resort in Mahaballipuram, namely Greenwoods beach resort in which we slept one night. more

The choice of hotels in M'puram is not great and its orientated towards a backpackers. The Sea Breeze is probably the nicest place in town at the moment. There is a nicer place about 3km out, but this is the best of an ordinary bunch (at the moment). Its a has good sized rooms, which are very basic , but... more

Big, clean rooms with TV and fridge. The pool is ok if you do not mind swimming in the company of fully-clothed Indian families. In retrospective we should have spent a bit more and should have stayed out of town in one of the resorts. Also, 3 days is far too much time to spend here. We would not return. more

After reading the rave reviews on tripadvisor, we didn't know whether to choose this slightly less exciting hotel right in "downtown" Mamallapuram, or the Ideal a few kilometers outside of the mess of a village. I must say that by going to the Sea Breeze, I am not convinced we made the right choice. Perhaps due to the rave reviews,... more

We have stayed at the sea breeze twice, must be good! it is in a really good location, just by the shore temple and on the beach, where we might add, we have played a game of cricket with the villagers. the staff are helpful and polite, the food is not too bad, considering i don't like curry. the only... more

Room is big. Shower room is big. There is a fridge. Yes, that's true. If you stay here with big family, maybe OK. To me, this is an overpriced amateur service hotel. OK. We stayed there for two nights. You can eat breakfast at terrace. But be careful, there is no fan. I spent 16 days in Tamil Nadu but... more

I stayed here a few times to unwind from jet lag after landing at Chennai, and before continuing down to Pondicherry. I love the way it feels very secluded, even though you can step a few metres onto the main drag of small shops whenever you wish to experience a dose of India. but until that moment you can stay... more

This is a wonderful seaside hotel. The main walkway leads directly down to the beach and the Bay of Bengal. The beach goes for miles and is quite clean. The hotel beach area is just alongside the Shore Temple. The rooms are spacious with plenty of cupboards to store your gear; The bathrooms are huge with on tap hot water.... more
