Stopped off here ,welcoming staff of the guest house and Tony's Place Massage (Malulee). The guest house is quaint and at about £22 a night. Traditional style rooms with air con provides hot and cold food and drinks through the day. There is a small pool to laze by and the guest house is situated away from the main street facing a few local bars. Not to be missed either staying at Tony's Place or a nearby hotel or guest house is the professional massage services of Malulee!. There are many places in Thailand to get a massage and I have avoided many of them for various reasons. Tony's Place Massage is undoubtedly the place to relieve those tired muscles either from the journey to Ayutthaya. Not only is the massage itself excellent but so is Malulee, professional and entertaining ing and if you like she will sing. Malulee does not just take your money for your massage but is also kind and generous and as a traveller found her knowledge and advice of the city most helpful and will go out of her way to help any farang with problems they might have during their stay. Any trip to Ayutthaya cannot be complete without a refreshing drink or night stay at Tony's Place and an excellent massage from Malulee. Respect the locals and they will more than respect and help you.

We stayed at Tony’s Place for one night, great little find. Really reasonable prices for rooms. Food was really nice, all freshly cooked and reasonable price. Small pool which was refreshing. The staff were all helpful. The only reason I a. Giving 4 stars rather than 5 is the rooms were a bit shabby and the extra bed was just a mattress on the floor and not very comfortable. All in all a great place to stay.

The food was good, the pool lovely, the staff helpful with organizing boat tours (to see ruins off the island) tuk tuk tours (to see ruins on the island, typically 50 baht entrance fee per person per ruin). Unfortunately the blue bank machine out front ate my bank card, but that is not Tonys fault, just beware! Tony’s is covered in wood. Double doors, locked with padlocks , led to our room off of a huge foyer. The kids loved the ladder to their double bed in a loft. Tonys is directly across the river from the train station. You don’t have to pay the 100 bahts to the taxi touts at the train station to get to tonys. The Taxis have to drive south to cross the bridge then back north again to tonys. Instead, the locals take a 2 min ferry across for 5 bahts each between the train station and the island right next to tonys.

Lovely conversion from house to guest house/hotel. Ground floor hosts bar/dining area and through to reception. Has swimming pool and relaxation area. On an upper area is an in house massage center. The building is 3 levels with rooms on each landing. The room that we had was a good size with a king bed. The decor has been modernized but still maintains a majority of olden style fittings. Modern toilet and shower with hot water. Air, tv. I found quaint was the internal lock on the door. Our friend's room which was on a lower level had twin beds but all facilities were similar. The food was good and excellent staff. Free car park available outside. Located in an active soi with many bars - we drank at all of them. Price was a little high 850 baht, but we enjoyed the ambiance and say to you - it's worth a try.

Just had another great traditional massage at Tony's place, a very relaxing atmosphere in the traditional Thai style wooden building. This is my third trip to Ayutthaya and I always come here to relax in great surroundings and get rid of aches and pains. Top tip go in the daytime to avoid waiting. Highly recommended!

This place is highly overrated. The is food is so so. And, unless you like your yoghurt/milkshake with lots of crushed ice cubes, no milk, a very small amount of yoghurt and fruit from the freezer, you can order one.

This hotel is very well located in Ayutheya, we can eat good meals in the street close by, and rent motorbikes or bicycles just across the street. The pool is great, and the rooms are spacious. The best thing is the staff, everybody is smiling, willing to help and so nice. They have a laundry service too (very cheap ;)) you can also do some amazing Thai massages. The common living place is very nice, with some live music few times in a week. The food in the restaurant and drinks in the bar are great, wide choice. To sum up, we really enjoyed staying there :)

This place was a disappointment because they have such great facilities like a wonderful hang out pool and a sprawling teak multifloored mansion to stay in, but the staff is rude, you have to deal with some dishonest helpers, and even getting your room cleaned can take multiple requests over the course of a day (they do not clean unless requested). Four of the five lights in the bedroom were burnt out. Our bathroom light flickered creepily when we ran the hot water and we had cockroaches. Tony’s Place has a lot of potential. The building and facilities are beautiful, but they need to invest more in training the staff and paying them enough to stick around before it will be a really enjoyable place to stay.

The room is large and pleasant, but no waste bin? No fridge? No mosquito screen on bathroom window or above the door? Also locking the door from inside was very poor, a good push and you could be in. These are simple things to remedy. Check in was fine and the staff very pleasant. Restaurant menu seemed expensive.
