The room we had was pretty basic but was fine for one night. The guesthouse is really close to the train station, the food is decent and the staff are really nice. As we had a very late train booked they kindly allowed us to spend the evening hanging around the guesthouse despite having already checked out which was really helpful and appreciated.

Stayed here 10 years ago with my late father and this time round I am here with my brother and fiancé , hasn’t changed a bit. staff were polite and friendly always keeping the guest house clean - big smiles from everyone. Had washing done and was done speedy and folded neatly back in bags. Hopefully we will return sooner than 10 years this time. Amazing place and staff , was one of my dads favourite places whilst travelling Thailand - I have his ashes with us and took him out and popped him in bed side cabinet , he would of loved that - Kap 🙏🏻

Well-run homestay with a hostess who knows how to take care of the guests in the best possible way. Select the room with aircon for best comfort. Believe me, you don't want to go for the fan-only room in this lovely establishment. You want to go to full mile and have it all. The breakfast is hearty and prepared with utmost dedication. The location is superb for backpackers waiting for their next train to Chiang Mai, or wherever they are destined to go. The Wifi was surprisingly leopard-like fast in an old Thai style house like this. The shared bathroom is not an issue if you don't have a bad stomach and the parking space are plentiful if you are willing to walk the extra steps. Therefore, I would not hesitate to recommend this place, A slight deduction has been made due to very thin wall, thus you can hear every gossip from your neighbor.

The 2 thai-chinese ladies running the guesthouse and their staff are outstanding. They have been caring and helpful but most of all their cuisine is the best I believe in the city. They cook the way you like. Portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. Each dish is prepared with heart. Beer is cold and cheap too. The restaurant overloking the river is very pleasant. The guesthouse is ideally located (near the train station and next to ferry across the river). The house is charming with a first floor fully made of teak wood. Two slight disappointments but marginal considering the full picture: Mattress is hard and you can hear loud and clear the other guests (Sadly I had disrespectful loud Germans next to me) the first night. Strongly recommend the place. Big thanks to the ladies and the staff.

We stayed one night. The guesthouse lady did all the reservation for us. No time waste. We had just half a day and it was a great service she did. Room is ok. Nothing special but the riverside lunge is great place to chill out after temples visit and the hot weather. We had dinner in and 10 euro in 2 persons for a very good dinner on the river.

We really liked the authentic and wooden interior, the rooms are small but cute and has the same authenticity as the rest of the building. We also liked the outside space, where you are allowed to bring your own drinks or food from the street, which shows how friendly the personnel is. They were also helpful on whatever question we had and finally i probably had the best pad tai in the hole of Thailand. Definitely coming back if we ever come back to Ayutthaya!! Thank you for your hospitality!!

This is a super place to stay, if you go to Ayutthaya. It is only a 2 min walk from the train station. We arrived from Siem Reap to Dom Mueng Airport and just walked to the train and jumped off in Ayutthaya. Super easy. The owner of Baan Are Gong emmidiatly recommended their own boat ride to visit three temples. It was a very good and fun trip. Next day we rented bikes and biked around the town to visit more amazing temple sites. Food at the guest house is very good classic thai food. We have travelled (and dined) quite a lot in south east asia. No need to eat anywhere else for thai food :-) The restaurant is very cozy. Just be aware that walls between rooms are thin, so we kept our voices down not to disturb other guests. Lovely place. I will recomnend it!

Nice location, near the train station. Bed is confortable - restaurant with breakfast available. There is a really nice restaurant near the hôtel, with a sweet lady who will kindly give you some great advice and rent scooter. The decoration is also nice. Bad point : -Just one shower/toilet for ladies upstaires. -Be carefull with the mosquito bites (near the river) Would recommend to stay here.

The place is amazing. Is located just on the river crossing Ayutthaya and has a bar serving also food with the view on the river. It's divided into two floors. The rooms on the second floor are wooden rooms, in their traditional style, very lovely, but they have shared bathroom. Me and my girlfriend got a room with private bathroom on the groundfloor. Room was nice and clean. The ladies running the activity are lovely and always smiling, making you feeling really welcomed. The only drawback is that it has a courtyard on the back where at night there are dogs fighting and barking, so this keeps you awake. However, I felt to give the accommodation a 3 stars because of the staff that makes really the difference
