Most people who travel in Thailand make day trips to Ayutthaya to visit the temples. Its a nice place to stay, Ayuthaya is not the main destination for tourist place if you are travelling to Thailand but if you are in Ayuthaya stay at this place. Stayed here for a night in April as wasn't feeling too good and needed some luxury. Service was quite poor but the room I had was ok - nice beds, good air con and a nice view. The hotel is beautifully placed along side the river. It is around 100km from Bangkok. But strategically located to the market and most of the scenic places to visit in Ayuthaya. Good location just a few steps from the railway station and not far away from the ruins. The "ferry" service which conects the island is only a few hundred meters ahead.
