We had a very quiet and comfortable night here, the room and bathroom were clean, bed comfortable and the air con, TV and fridge worked. Clean towels, soap and free bottled water provided. Just few comments otherwise I would not finish. At our arrival the hotel did not seem as bad as it was. We were expecting a simple clean room, not a luxory suite, but wat we found was really unexpected. The main problem is that the place was really dirty. Rooms have some charming touches like carved-wood decor, but are definitely well past their prime. The matresses are actually box-spring foundations with mattress pads on top, and the bathrooms are even less impressive than the bedrooms. The noise from the bar (loud music) continues well past midnight, making sleep all but impossible. more

バンコクへのエアコンバスの発着場まで1km。レンタルサイクル屋、ショッピングセンター、アユタヤ鉄道駅への渡し舟乗り場のいずれも徒歩5分圏内。目の前にはファミリーマート。個人で能率よく遺跡巡りをするなら最高の立地です。ここには2泊の予約を入れていたのですが、昼にバンコクから到着してチェックインしてすぐに自転車を借りて主要な遺跡を見てまわったら、2日目にはアユタヤですることがなくなってしまいました。仕方なく2日目は列車でロッブリーにいきましたが、同じような遺跡ばかりのアユタヤと違って、放し飼いの猿や往復の車窓も楽しめて思わぬ副産物でした。反面このホテルの従業員にやる気のない人が少なからずいました。朝食の間、客がいるにもかかわらず、若い従業員が夜のライブ用のピアノで遊んでいたり、掃除のおばちゃん達が廊下でヤンキー座りで長い間話し込んでいたりとある意味カルチャーショックでした。あと朝に鳥が窓際にたくさん来てかなりうるさかったです。ホテルの周りの店は夜は早くしまってしまいます。ひまだったら「アユタヤー　グランド　ホテル」周辺に行くと大人用のお店があってかなりにぎやかです。パタヤのように白人がでかい顔をしてないので結構いいかも。 more
