We arrived at the Twin Beach Resort and a very nice receptionist gave us a warm welcome. The resort has a basic look, small bungalows surrounded by tropical plants and our bungalow had direct seaview, close to the sea. Wonderful. But then the disappointmence started: The beachbar was closed, the restaurant was closed, we got tickets for our breakfast that we could use in a resort 2 miles away (taxi would be free).
But then still, what if you're into a snack? A coffee? A coke? There was no food or drinks whatsoever in the resort, luckily the pool contained water. For every snack or soda we had to go by TukTuk to town! This was unbelievable. Next to our door, there were people busy repairing roofs from bungalows by stripping them, other bungalows were used as storage houses for furniture. On the internet this resort looks like a terrific place, but in reality it looks like the Tsunami just passed by. Going to town is not a pleasant thing to do either; the poverty in this part...
