It is located at the end of the island, but it makes it more beautiful:) Bungalows are so clean, nice, quiet, big beds, wonderful. We had wonderful one with the beach front view. Amazing. If I'd have to be dissappionted with anything: The thing I could not recommend is ordering at the resturant, service is strange, i ordered papya salad... more

After a week in Patong arriving at Kaw Kwang in Koh Lanta was like a total breath of fresh air... literally! We weren't sure what to expect as we knew it was quite cheap compared to all the other accommodation around, but we were overwhelmed. The hut was absolutely lovely, air conditioning, satalite tv, powerful shower and incredibly clean. they... more

Our trip was a mixture of resorts, backpackers, and visiting friends. we travelled all through Malaysia and Thailand, experiencing the culture and history and Kaw Kwang was the most enjoyable place we stayed, the staff were so friendly and helpful. It is perfect for families and groups and also its location is great close to town and beach. We are... more

Having been travelling all over Thailand throughout October to December 2008 I though I would write a few reviws about some of the places I have stayed the first thing that I though of was the terrible restaurant service. It was understanabley slow at busy periods but I recall one occasion when I requested a pancake and was sat waiting... more

We are a family of 4 (2 girls aged 9 & 11) and we stayed at 3 resorts on Ko Lanta. We loved Ko Lanta and would certainly return to Kaw Kwang. The resort is beautiful - right on the beach, lovely pool, nice grassy area with shade from trees. Most of the accommodation is very nice although the first... more

We contacted the hotel directly and booked for 4 nights with them, when we arrived there was a lot of confusion about our booking. They showed us to a room - but this was a twin and in our booking we had asked for a double which they had confirmed- she said we could only have the twin but did... more

We were recommended this place by a fellow traveller in Bangkok and it was lovely. We paid £20 a night for a little bungalow with en suite and a great breakfast. The bungalows are across the road from Khlong Muang beach and down the road from a few bars (one irish with some good drinks offers and food) and a... more

Kaw Kwang is a little isolated but has a nice atmosphere. The facilities are spacious, the staff are friendly and all-in -all it's a good place for visitors who just want to "kick back". It gets REALLY busy over Christmas and New Year, with returning guests from Europe, so you will need to book many months in advance at that... more

Cute little huts but in the middle of nowhere. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach isn't that great - can't really swim in the water or lounge on the beach. Taxis will be very hard to come by as the area is very secluded. Accommodations are very basic - be prepared with some Deet, as there are mosquitos... more

On first arriving to this property we got a bit of a shock as there was rubble around everywhere. After investigating a little further we discovered that it was still being cleaned up and rebuilt after the tsunami. The property is directly on a secluded part of a lovely beach at the end of the island. We took a seaview... more
