I stayed at this hotel from the 7th till the 13th of May 2009. And on the 11th of May in the evening. My girlfriend and I were just lying down on the bed when suddenly the top right corner of the bed gave way and broke. We were staying in the family villa. We called the owner and when he came up, he accused us of kicking the bed and said it was beyond repair. Next day, he called us down to talk and he said that the total charges for the bed was over 40 000 baht. We argued that we didn't do anything wrong. But he kept on insisting that we kicked the bed and broke it on purpose. And when we called our parents, they told us to contact the embassy and the police. When we tried to do that, he got angry and threatened us and said he knew 'people' in this country and the police would just lock us up and our parents would have to come and get us. so stupidly and out of fear of our lives, we finally agreed to pay up 20 000 baht.
