First of all, THANK YOU!! we took night bus from Bangkok to Ko phangan, we chose lomprayah speedboat (which I highly recommended!) pay a bit more but you will get rid of low back pain problems. Stayed in the off season - only a few couples stayed at the resort. It was like a ghost town, but the friendly staff was always available for any service. The resort and beach doesn't have any locals trying to sell you anything, just a few massage stalls (would recommend 'ok massage' - really good massage, friendly service and cheap).... more
