My girlfriend and I stayed in Bottle Beach in June of 2005. We decided to stay at BB 1 when we first arrived because the bungalows were right on the beach. We left after one night because the rooms were pretty dirty and the staff was quite rude. Also, the food was horrible (you can't expect much for food at bottle beach beach due to its very isolated location, but this was just awful - pad thai was more or less spaghetti with BBQ sauce). We decided to stay at Smile Bungalows at the other end of the beach. They were amazing. The bungalows were 450 baht a night and were great. The Smile Bungalow employees were very friendly too. In the evenings they would join a few people on holiday for pickup games of soccer on the beach. As we got drinks or a plate of food, they would just jot down what we had on a piece of paper so we could pay at the end when we left.
