The villas (or cabins) at Villa de Pai were comfortable, offering everything you probably wouldn't expect in such affordable accommodation, such as free internet access in your room, fridge, tv and 2 double beds complete with net curtains and hot shower. There is a reason why the rooms have a plunger in the bathroom - the toilet blocks for absolutely no reason. Imagine yourself having a stomach bug and having to plunge the toilet too. The walls were black with mold. The noise from the other huts, no effort (or sign) from management to try and quell the all night partying.... more

We found this place by chance after travelling to pai for a few days from Chiang Mai. The cabins vary from 500baht up to 600baht (about 8.50gbp), the best thing is that they all have free internet access!! The only difference between the more expensive cabins and the cheaper ones is that you are located on the river which offers... more
