Recently spent one night at the Lotus Village in Sukhothai. My room was large and cool, with a nice patio. The grounds are beautiful and and quite a contrast to the dust and bustle of the rest of the town. Maybe a little too close to nature, though - there was a gecko in my room, which kind of freaked... more

A very basic place. Don't be attracted by the internet site. We stayed in a bungalow with airconditioning. No closet to leave your clothes : either on the floor or in your bag. What they call a bungalow is smaller than a normal hotel room. Breakfast is not fantastic. Only the tea and the fruit are tasty. Don't try the... more

Spent the 2007 Songkran (Thai New Year) in Sukothai. What fun! The Lotus Village provided all the care and services promised...and more. Met us at the airport. Rooms with A/C as requested and were clean and simply Thai. Yes, as others have said, the mattresses were typical guest house firm, but that wasn't unexpected. If you're staying at the Shangri... more

Stayed in an airconditioned room for 2 nights during our tour of Thailand. Very firm bed, but very pretty surroundings. Breakfast was lovely, fresh juice, home made jams, lovely eggs. Its a very quiet resort, and the bar closes at 9pm I think. But it was a lovely resort to stay in. We went cycling around the ancient city of... more

Stayed here for 2 nights. There was a mix up in their "booking system" - in fact I arrived at the same time as a tour party and there was complete chaos! They then tried to charge me 30% more than had been agreed - not the best start. To say the bungalow was basic would be a SEVERE understatement... more

I am an avid TripAdvisor writer. If you want to know more about the stars, check out my profile. I think is important to know what class of hotel it is first and then the value for the price. First off, this is a 2 star hotel. So it has hot water and AC. The staff is very friendly. The... more

My only regret is that I only stayed one night. This is a good value hotel with basic rooms but there is a choice of different standards. The room I had was really good value as the breakfast in the morning was excellent. Beware the beds are hard but that was not a problem for me. The room was big... more

This hotel seems overrated. We were "welcomed" by the owner's Thai wife, who didn't seem interested in greeting guests or smiling at them. We stayed in a simple and small bungalow, where you have no wardrobe, no drawers, no furnishing at all except for one nightable for two people plus 6 hangers on the wall. There is only one socket... more

We stayed at Lotus Village for 3 nights in July. We very much enjoyed our stay. Lotus Village is an oasis from the busy streets of New Sukhothai. The bungalows and cottages are nestled amongst lush gardens and ponds. The bungalows are sparsely decorated and fairly dark, but comfortable and spacious. The cafe is adorable and the staff is quite... more

Only to have a place to sleep near the beautyfull archeological park of Sukhothaï. The hotel is correct, but the rooms (with clim) are very simple and without charm (the bathroom is very very basic). Also, problems with the sound isolation (noices from the others rooms) ! The graden of the hotel need a good cleaning. The staff is less... more
