Silintong Hotel is a nice and clean hotel, which, like many of the hotels on Samosir Island lies right on the shores of Lake Toba. It is a no frills type accomodation. Certainly not a place for those who wish to have resort like amenities - i.e. there's no multicuisine restaurant, no fitness center, no SPA, not even a TV... more

I stayed at Silintong Hotel for 4 days on a company event. The rooms were reasonably clean, the staff quick and friendly, and the view was nice. There was another hotel in the Lake Toba vicinity (*cough* Hotel Carolina *cough*) that I had stayed in, and was determined never to come there again. I am glad this time, we didn't... more
